Around the Hearth LLC is a boutique private practice providing counseling and therapy services to individuals, families, and children. We include a wide variety of specialties, including, but not limited to, mental health, marriage and couple's counseling, and applied behavioral health services to children and families. Our motto is to be “compassionate, client directed and supportive.” This is embedded in all our work. We have experts who work tirelessly with families who are struggling with a child on the autism spectrum or who are displaying behavioral difficulties. We focus on providing intimate, quality time for each client at the comfort of their own home or at our site. Wherever our clients feel comfortable, such as cozying Around the Hearth, that is their time and place to reflect, to speak their innermost hopes or challenges, and to find their own strength to resume living their lives. Through the utilization of evidence-based practices, we seek to assist in the prevention, recovery and cure of the mental health issues affecting our clients.

Art People provides hands-on creative arts-based services through Art Therapy, diverse art workshops, gallery exhibits, community involvement, and private events.  We provide programs for a wide variety of clients, but specialize in working with individuals who have intellectual disabilities.  


We also offer our unprecedented, unique, and customizable Inclusive Arts program for schools, Art Therapists, human services agencies, families, community programs, professional conferences, hospitals, and other parties who work with individuals who have developmental disabilities.  This one-of-a-kind training teaches the skills and knowledge needed to safely and appropriately provide arts programming for this population.

Art People  was founded in 2021 by two Art Therapists who share a passionate vision of a space where artists with and without disabilities can work creatively alongside each other as equals.  A space where everybody has meaningful ideas and talents to contribute, and where we can all grow by learning from each other.

Locally owned and operated, Bark Avenue Pet House has been voted Milford's #1 dog daycare and boarding facility for 2022 and 2023. Conveniently located off of exit 40 from I-95, Bark Avenue offers over 8,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space for your dog to run, play and socialize! The safety and well-being of every pet in our care is our number one priority, which is why we are staffed day and night. We also have an on-call vet tech for any first aid or medical needs. Providing structured daycare as well as cage-free and kenneled boarding for not only dogs, but cats too! We take pride in the cleanliness of our facility, and the knowledge of our experienced staff. Bark Avenue Pet House provides a safe, clean, comfortable, stimulating and fun place for your pet to relax or play while you are at work, on vacation, or out of town on a business trip. We aim to be your pet’s home away from home!
