On
Tuesday, November 28 at 7pm, Milford Public Library will hold an informational
workshop entitled “Diabetes: What You Should Know, What You Should Do,”
presented by Maureen Devlin, a registered Dietitian/Nutritionist and Certified Diabetes Educator.
Whether you are newly diagnosed or
need a refresher course, this class is for you. Devlin will talk about what diabetes is; what causes diabetes, blood
sugar numbers, symptoms, diabetes
complications, nutrition and exercise, and medications available for the
disease.
In 2015, more than 30.3 million
Americans, or 9.4 % of the population had diabetes. Come and learn about this disease and its
complications in this valuable workshop.
