Milford Kiwanis Easter Flower Sale

Milford Kiwanis invites you to visit our  Annual Easter Flower Sale being held at The Milford Bank 33 Broad St on Easter Weekend March 29/9-5, 30/9-5, half day 31/9-Noon. Colorful flowering plants offered this year include Tulips, Lilies, Hyacinths, Hydrangeas, Mums, Azaleas, Daffodils, Tete-A-Tetes and hanging baskets of Pansies.

Your purchases will result in mutual benefits. Primarily, proceeds from your purchases will be used for the purpose of "Investing in Milford’s Children"  to fund our annual Scholarship Program to award worthy students graduating from Foran, Law, Laurelton Hall and Platt Tech High Schools. These plants are also sure to “Brighten Your Easter Holiday.” They not only make wonderful Easter Holiday gifts for your loved ones, but these hardy plants will bloom annually in the Spring and add much color to your home and garden.  

Milford Kiwanis has been "Serving Milford Since 1950." Our member volunteers are dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. Examples of beneficiaries from our 4 funds raising programs include numerous diverse organizations, families, youth-centic initiatives. Examples include sponsoring Key Clubs at our 4 local high schools in support of their Leadership/Convention/Community Service Programs, Baseball/Soccer Youth Sports Programs, Beth El Shelter, Boys & Girls Club, Heating Fuel/Electric Heat Through Keeping Milford Warm. A full list of our beneficiaries can be found at www.milfordkiwanis.org. Visit www.kiwanis.org for further information on global youth initiatives and impacts.

Network of Executive Women: Monthly Luncheon Meeting

The Network of Executive Women’s monthly luncheon meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. The organization will honor the 2024 scholarship recipients who have committed themselves to furthering their education in pursuit of a better life for themselves and their families.

This event is open to women in business. Guest attendance is limited to two Network luncheons or events; thereafter membership is required.

Please visit networkofexecutivewomen.org to learn more and register no later than Friday, March 29, at 5:00 p.m. The cost to register is $45 per person.

We will not be accepting on-site registration so please register prior to the deadline.

An Evening with Skyzoo

Skyzoo is an American rapper and songwriter. He has released a number of notable solo and collaborative albums, including Cloud 9: The 3 Day High with 9th Wonder, The Salvation, A Dream Deferred, Music For My Friends, and his most recent solo album All the Brilliant Things. 
He has worked with artists such as Jill Scott, Wale, Lloyd Banks, Tyrese, Dr. Dre, Raheem Devaughn, Black Thought, Jadakiss, Talib Kweli, Spike Lee, and John Legend.

Skyzoo has headlined or co-headlined often-yearly tours throughout Europe, the United Kingdom, Africa, Australia, and Asia, and he owns and operates the independent record label First Generation Rich.

Hip hop artist influencers include Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, Nas, N.W.A, Big Daddy Kane, and Kid 'n Play, as well as non-hip hop artists such as Sade and Nirvana. 
Also a fan of jazz where his favorite artists include Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Horace Silver, and Wayne Shorter.
