VITA TAX PROGRAM
The Vita
Program will be providing free income tax preparation for all ages and low
income families at the Milford Senior Center 9 Jepson Drive, Sundays 11:00
a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Mondays 5 to 8:00 p.m. January 26 to April 5. Participants will be required to register
beginning January 7th by calling 211, choose option 3, then 6 or
online at https://uwc.211ct.org/tax
AARP TAX PROGRAM
AARP Volunteers will be providing free Tax
Preparation Wednesdays and Thursdays 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.at the Milford
Senior Center, 9 Jepson Drive from
February 5 to April 15. Participants are
required to register by calling 203
877-5131.
TECH TIME
The first
and third Thursday of each month from 10
a.m. to 12, the Milford Senior Center at 9 Jepson Drive, is hosting an innovative new program, Tech Time. Tech
Time affords the opportunity for attendees to suggest topics to assist those
who wish to become tech savvy. For

MOBILITY
TRAVEL OPTIONS
The Kennedy
Mobile Service (MSD) is providing an informational program and tools to assist
seniors, veterans and people with disabilities that can aid hem to navigate the
public transportation system thereby
maintaining or increasing their independence. The Regional Mobility Manager
will be at the Milford Senior Center 9
Jepson Drive, to discuss available options on Monday, February 10 at 1:00 p.m.

GAME NIGHTS
Game Nights
at the Milford Senior Center welcomes members to Society 55 a new club that meets the second and fourth Mondays of the month from 5:55 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Society 55
offers Trivia Night and Board game Night, Mix and Mingles, Networking Events,
Guest Speakers, Workshops and Fitness. Program Director Amanda Berry welcomes

COMMUNICATE
WITH TODAY’S GRANDKIDS
The Milford
Senior Center is hosting a program that will help you communicate with today’s
grandkids. On Tuesday, February 11 at
1:00 p.m. there is an opportunity to understand the “language” of today’s Toddlers to Teens. Their acronyms, social media platforms, and
tangible tips on grand-parenting in the age of vaping to internet bullying to
student debt. This program is presented by

VALENTINE’S
DAY PARTY
The Milford
Senior Center is celebrating Valentine’s Day with a party on Friday, February 14 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

MIND FIT
The Milford
Senior Center will be providing a presentation on how to keep your mind sharper
and longer, Thursday, February 20th at 1:00 p.m. During session #6 of this sixth session series, the
focus will be on the Visual- Spatial domain.
Visual-Spatial processing is involved in most physical interactions with
the environment. A loss in this ability can result in higher risks of a fall,
since seeing a step or slope becomes harder. The Center is located at 9 Jepson

There will

A CLUE AND PREVENT THE FLU
The Milford
Senior Center at 9 Jepson Drive will help you get a clue and prevent the flu
Tuesday, February 25th at 1:00 p.m.
Registered Dietitian Courtney Huggins from the local Shop Rite will be
discussing measures that will guide you through making nutritious soup and
various preventative measures that will assist you in kicking cold and flu

SMART SOLUTIONS FOR CLEANER INDOOR AIR
On Thursday
February 27, at 1:00 p.m. the Milford
Senior Center is hosting a discussion on smart solutions for cleaner, indoor
air. This is an opportunity to discover the various items that make your home
energy efficient can also cause containments that affect indoor air quality. During this program you will discover the EPA
warnings and advisories, various types of containments, illnesses they can
cause and solutions to eliminate them.
