12th Annual Slainte IHSM Scholarship Golf Outing

Compass To Success Fundraiser for Boys & Girls Village

DESCRIPTION:
“Compass To Success: A Nautical Night of Seaside Support” - the principal fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Village organization. The event raises critical funds for the
at-risk children and families the organization serves.  The lively evening begins at 6:30pm with festive cocktails, great music and delicious food.  Guests will enjoy
inspiring speakers, spectacular waterfront views, music by James Daniel and a special guest appearance by Miss Connecticut 2018, Bridget Oei.

Spirits of Milford Ghost Walks
Come on a scarily good 90-minute Spirits of Milford Ghost Walk, where you’ll be enthralled and entertained with stories about the distraught Paugusset Indian who strangled and killed her two young sons; the three deadly curses cast on Charles Island; why 300-year-old Capt. Stephen Stow has never left his home; the accused Colonial witch buried in Milford Cemetery; and so many more. Blending the macabre with known history, this spirited, lantern-lit walk follows a roughly 1.15-mile loop through downtown Milford, including stops at some of the city's oldest homes and Milford Cemetery. Friends of Milford Cemetery

     The Friends of Milford Cemetery will sponsor its 4th spring tour of the Old Milford Cemetery to talk about the meaning of gravestone art and symbols.

     The tour is Saturday, June 15 at 1 p.m., with a rain date of Saturday, June 22 at 1 p.m.. Tickets are $5 for adults, and children under 12 are free with paying adults. Parking is available in the DAR parking lot, 55 Prospect St. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Milford Cemetery Office, 35 Gulf St. or at the parking lot on the day of the event.
