In the spirit of Earth Day, Milford
Garden Club member, Terry Pitt, Certified Master Gardener and Fairyologist will
present “Spirits in Our Gardens: Mother Earth, Fairies and Us” in the Milford
Library Community Room on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 6:30 to 7:30 P.M. There is an awakening among us that beings
live in our gardens, recognized in every country in the world: fairies, elves,
divas, leprechauns, gnomes, etc. Few of us see them, many of us feel their
energy and all of us can learn to live
cooperatively with them. In a lighthearted way, Pitt presents what her studies
and her experiences have led her to believe about the energetic personalities
of the various beings, collectively called elementals, and what it takes on our
parts to have them grace our gardens and help us with our household chores.
Ms. Pitt has what she calls “a checkered
career” including raising a large family, teaching, managing corporate
communications and writing. On retiring
from AT&T, she earned a UCONN Master Gardener Certificate, created home
gardens with native plants. and joined the
Milford Garden Club where she became
interested in care for the environment. That led her to take an online course
on fairies, whose job it is to take care of our environment. Becoming a
Fairyologist fit well with her interest in all things spiritual, leading to
this program “Spirits in
Our Gardens,” called “mind expanding” by
those who enjoyed it last October at the Marsh Botanical Gardens at Yale.
This program is co-sponsored by the
Friends of Milford Library, the Milford Garden Club, and the Benson-Crump
Community Gardens Program.
