If you’ve ever wanted to be part of a team that works to protect and conserve our natural environment, The Connecticut Audubon Society Coastal Center in Milford is seeking new volunteers at an open house for prospective volunteers.
During the Open House you’ll meet staff members and learn about the wide variety of interesting and important roles, both behind the scenes and out front with visitors. There’s a place for everyone’s time and talents, whether you’re available a few hours a week, several hours a month, or only during certain seasons.
Volunteers
at the Milford Coastal Center help as teachers, hosts for reception and the
nature store, at special events, and as docents and grounds rangers in the
sanctuary. There are opportunities for those with skills in gardening, animal
care, administrative work, publicity and more. Full training and orientation
are provided.
As the gateway to a vital wildlife sanctuary, Connecticut Audubon’s Coastal Center at Milford Point affords volunteers with fascinating opportunities to learn and contribute to this important community resource. If you are interested in finding out more, come to the Open House, meet our team and ask questions while enjoying light appetizers and refreshments. Please RSVP for the Open House at: 203-878-7440, x.502.
