The AARP Program provides free Income Tax preparation
assistance for low and middle income tax payers of all ages with special
attention to those 60 and older. The
program will run February 6 to April 12th on Wednesday, Thursday and
Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Participants are required to register an appointment by calling 203 877-5131. In the event there is a two
hour delay because of inclement weather, the Senior Center will open at 11:00
a.m. and if the Milford School System is closed, the Senior Center will be
closed as well.Taxpayers should bring with them, all information and
documents that apply to their 2018 Income Tax, including a copy of their 2017
Income Tax Return, W-2 and tax statement forms, W-10, certain gambling forms,
social security benefit statement, original cost of stocks, bonds and mutual
holdings sold during 2018, all documents that relate to deductible expenses,
such as medical, State income taxes, property taxes, contributions and mortgage
interest.
The VITA Program will be providing free income tax
preparation for all ages and low income families at the Milford Senior Center,
9 Jepson Drive, on Sundays from 12:00 p.m.to 4:00 p.m. and Mondays 5:00 p.m. to
8:00 p.m, beginning January 27 to April 15th. Participants need to
