Come on a scarily good 90-minute Spirits of Milford Ghost Walk, where you’ll be enthralled and entertained with stories about the distraught Paugusset Indian who, 400 years ago, strangled and killed her two young sons; the three deadly curses cast on Charles Island; why 291-year-old Capt. Stephen Stow has never left his home; the accused Colonial witch buried in Milford Cemetery; and so many more. Blending the macabre with known history, this spirited, lantern-lit walk follows a roughly 1.15-mile loop through downtown Milford, including stops at some of the city's oldest homes and Milford Cemetery. Participants who desire also get the chance to try out paranormal investigation tools like EMF detectors and dowsing rods. Cost for advance tickets is $15 per person. Walk-up ticket price is $18 per person. Children 4 and under are free. Milford Library is pleased to welcome back the Julie Harris Trio on Sunday, November 5 at 2pm. Spend your Sunday afternoon in the fabulous world of Cole Porter, a musical genius whose life took him around the world from Broadway to Hollywood, filled with the greatest stars of the day.  The Julie Harris Trio will tell his story, enhanced by his music, with such hits as "Night and Day" and "Begin the Beguine."

                                                Until Help Arrives

            An innovative program, Until Help Arrives, presented by representatives from the Milford Health and Fire Departments, will take place at the Milford Senior Center, Monday, November 6 at 1:00 p.m.  The presentation teaches citizens basic skills to keep people alive until professional help arrives in a trauma situation.  While the Nation’s emergency medical responders are quick to arrive, any delay between injury and the initiation of care could have serious consequences.

The Milford Senior Center regularly provides presentations relating to various programs and discussions that would benefit and interest the public.   A monthly bulletin, available at the Center and at many public offices and stores throughout the city can be referred to for the latest programs held at the Milford Senior Center, located at 9 Jepson Drive.
