Tourism Meeting
I want to invite all Chamber members who have an interest in tourism in Milford to attend a discussion on Wednesday, September 27 at 10:00 am here at the Chamber.
The state has been cutting the tourism budget in recent years, and the future for our travel and tourism promotions to get more visitors to Connecticut is unclear.
Many of our businesses benefit from tourists visiting Milford, so I want to explore how the Chamber can do more to promote tourism which in turn will help our local businesses.
I will invite representatives from the regional and state tourism agencies to share their perspective on what can be done, and how we can work with the state, county and city departments to make sure we capitalize on the many things we have to offer here in Milford.
Our discussion will include the possibility of setting up a permanent Tourism Council at the Chamber to promote our interests for the city and for our members.
Please RSVP to Connie at csmith@milfordct.com if you are interested in attending. Thank you.
Best,
Gary Mullin
Executive Director
