Beatles Tribue Band - First United Church of Christ
Penny Lane, an area Beatles tribue band will perform a benefit concert in the sanctuary of the church to benefit Christian Outreach. This is the third year the band has played here on New Year's Eve. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors/teens and $5 for children 12 and under. There is no reserved seating. Tickets can be purchased during coffee hour after worship services each Sunday and also at the door.

20th Anniversary - Chilly Chili Run 2017
This is a 5K Run and 2-mile Fitness Walk. The race fee is $27, 12 and under will be $15. Fitness walk fee is $15. Once again, the Honorary Chairman will be Jim Zeoli. Last year’s race had over 500 participants and our long sleeve t-shirt was voted the favorite among Connecticut Runners.
Race Day registration begins at 8:00 in the gym and the Race will begin at 10:30 a.m.
As always the event will feature live entertainment provided by a DJ.
All of the proceeds will go to the Amity Teen Center, a 501 c 3 organizations that was formed in 1987.
The Teen Center is located at 10 Selden Street in Woodbridge. All participants will be treated to a "hot chili brunch" after the Race. Trophies will be awarded.

The Written Word - Firehouse Gallery
Calling all writers, readers, poets, wordsmiths, book lovers and general fans of the written word!
The Milford Arts Council and Mick Theebs, the Poet Laureate of Milford, are teaming up to start a group for people who love reading and writing. Meetings will take place every 1st and 2nd Thursday at the Firehouse Gallery from 7- 8:30pm.
Whether you write—or love to read; this is an open invitation for a friendly and spontaneous evening of networking, brainstorming and sharing of ideas. Future plans may include special events, speakers, workshops, blogs, salon nights—all featured around poetry, screenwriting, playwriting, short stories and novel writing, songwriting; for writers and readers alike.

A Double Billing Inaugural Event! Beau Bolero & Jay Rowe
Doors open at 7 pm. Jay Rowe, Jazz Artist will be playing at this concert along with Beau Bolero. This concert will be the official release of Jay Rowe's 6th CD as a solo artist. He performs regularly at many major jazz festivals throughout the United States as well as performing at festivals. Beau Bolero is possibly the very best Steely Dan tribute band you will ever hear. Since the 1980's they have performed at major clubs and colleges throughout the North-East. Tickets must be picked up at the Venue (Will Call).
