Dylan Thomas’ A Child’s Christmas in Wales brings a
certain warmth and wonder to the holidays.
Milford Library presents a special afternoon with Milford actor Colin
Lane performing a dramatic reading of this classic tale. He’ll be accompanied by the lovely and
talented musician Rebecca Zaretzky. Her
high clear soprano voice brings a note of poignancy to the old carols.
This
production is in its eighth year, and it has become a Christmas tradition in
Milford. This year it will be presented
on Sunday, December 11 at 2 pm.
Colin Lane has appeared on Broadway,
Off Broadway, Off Off Broadway and at most of the major regional theaters in
the US. Recently he received a Best Actor nomination for his portrayal of
Slasher/Basher in the world premier of Honor Molloy's, Crackskull Row at the prestigious 1st Irish Festival, Off B'way. He's a Connecticut Critics' Circle
Award, Orlando Award and Drama Desk Award nominee and Dramalogue Award winner (LA).
Rebecca Zaretzky has performed in regional productions of Carnival! (Gloucester Stage
Company). The Comedy of Errors, Two Gentleman of Verona, The
Tempest (Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival). In the Boston-area her
credits include As You Like It (Commonwealth Shakespeare
Company); Cyrano(New Repertory Theatre); Gypsy (Stoneham
Theatre); Brigadoon, Very Good Eddie, Into the Woods (College
Light Opera Company); The Good Woman of Setzuan, Landscape of the Body,
A Little Night Music, The Rue Garden (The Boston
Conservatory). Most recently, she played Hope in Anything
Goes! with the Whitney Players in Hamden.
