Examining the Constitution

To wrap up our month-long celebration of the immigrant experience, we turn to the document that is uniquely American – our U.S. Constitution.   What is it, how was it written, who wrote it, and why is some of it so hard to understand? Associate Professor of History Hamish Lutris will give us the inside story on how our country was “conceived in liberty”. Lutris is the professor we all wanted – deeply dedicated, with an attention to the small details that bring history to life. Following the lecture, the Milford Concert Band will perform some patriotic music -  a truly fitting end to a month-long celebration of our city’s great diversity and our strength. Free copies of the Constitution while they last!
