Harriet Tubman was a woman of unique qualities and abilities even though she
was illiterate. She maintained an
unblemished record of vigilance, and left
a legacy of sacrifice and struggle. I Can’t Die But Once weaves a tale of
truth, pain, courage, and determination that takes the audience into her life –
at first enslaved – her eventual escape – solicited by the United States
Government for her unique talents – evading capture behind enemy lines.. They
enlisted her as a scout and spy for the Union cause and she battled
courageously behind enemy lines during the Civil War. Her story is
inspirational.
